I responded earlier to Lois only, intending to reply to the whole list. I strongly doubt that the Dempsey and Burrell Paces in Clarke Co, AL, are the same ones that she was referring to. Here's what I told Lois:
Yes, this is the Dempsey Pace who died in Clarke Co, AL, in 1864 and who was the son of Frederick of Wales. He had a nephew named Burrell (son of William) who died in Clarke Co in 1840. I'm not aware that Burrell was ever in the household of Dempsey, but they lived in the same small neighborhood and likely had frequent contact. But this Burrell married Elizabeth Thornton, so it's likely that we are talking about a different Burrell and Dempsey. Joe Anderson
