Naming patterns are sometimes useful clues, but in a great many cases they represent nothing more than coincidence. Speaking to the case in point, the name Burrell first appears in my direct Anderson line in 1801 and it persisted in the line through my grandfather. But as far as I know the first connection between my Anderson and Pace lines occurred with the marriage of my parents.
I have seen the given name Burrell in other lines during this time frame, so my suspicion is that its usage came about though some person of renown during that time. Perhaps a noted Baptist preacher, or some such thing.
