RUFUS PACK - 3 acres - MERCER CO., VA

Joseph Johnson Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, to all to
whom these presents shall come---Greetings: Know ye that in conformity with a
survey made on the fourth day of May one thousand eight hundred and fifty two
by virtue of Land Office Treasury Warrant No. 19731 there is granted by the
said Commonwealth unto RUFUS PACK a certain tract or parcel of land containing
three acres lying in Mercer County, being an island on New River, and bounded
as follows, viz. Beginning at two sycamores on the lower end of the island
opposite the mouth of Leatherwood and running up the river South 55 degrees
West 8 poles to a bunch of ironwood, South 30 degrees West with the meandering
there of 82 poles to a sycamore, South 50 degrees East 8 poles to three
willows. Thence down the river North 34 degrees East 13 poles to a sycamore
on the bank. Thence with the meandering thereof to the beginning with its
appurtenances.

To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances,
to the said RUFUS PACK and his heirs forever.

In witness whereof, the said Joseph Johnson Esquire, Governor of the
Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set his hand and caused the lesser
seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed, at Richmond, on the first day of
June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three and
of the Commonwealth the twenty seventh.
