SAMUEL PACK, JUNIOR - 135 acres - GILES CO., VA

Wilson Cary Nicholas Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, to all
to whom these presents com, Greetings: Know ye that in conformity with a
survey made the 24th day of July, 1813, by virtue of a Land Office Treasury
Warrant, No. 4837, issued the 11th of February, 1812; there is granted by the
said Commonwealth unto SAMUEL PACK, junior, a certain tract or parcel of land,
containing one hundred and thirty five acres, situated in the County of Giles,
on the waters of CooperÂ’s Creek and bounded as followeth, to wit. Beginning
at three white oaks on the top of a ridge, near the state road, thence north
seven degrees west eight one poles crossing said creek to two white oaks;
north ninety nine degrees west one hundred and four poles to two white oaks;
south twenty six degrees west forty two poles to two white oaks, on the point
of a ridge; south thirty eight degrees west, eighteen poles to a white oak and
spanish oak, and the forks of a branch; south forty six degrees west, one
hundred poles crossing one fork of the branch to two white oaks; and a
ironwood; south eighteen degrees west, sixty three poles to four chestnuts on
a flat ridge and thence north seventy two degrees west two hundred poles to
the beginning with its appurtenances: To have and to hold the said tract or
parcel of land with its appurtenances, to the said SAMUEL PACK, junior and his
heirs forever. In witness whereof, the said Wilson Cary Nicholas, Esquire,
Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set his hand and
caused the lesser seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond, on
the twenty sixth day of April in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight
hundred and fifteen, and of the Commonwealth the thirty ninth.
