If you didn't know about this book, it is worth checking out.

Back in 1968 The National Association of Lively families commissioned Dr.
John Vallentine to research all of the Lively descendants. He had a
sabbatical and spent the year doing so. Dr. Vallentine was a Ph. D., not a
physician. He was a professor of range science and amateur genealogist who
lived near Salt Lake City. It runs 892 pages and has all of Loammi and
Jane's descendants (as well as a lot of other Lively descendants) who were
alive in 1968 that he could find in a year of research. The title is
"Livelys of America 1690 - 1968". It first came out in 1971, and they
reprinted it in 1981.

Dr. Vallentine is human, so there are some mistakes; among them, on page
572, it says Roy Elmo Pack b. 1893, died in 1924. He died in 1942. All in
all, however, it is the most thoroughly researched family history I've seen
in 20 years of poking through the genealogy sections of several libraries.

I'd be happy to look people up if you send me their full name and date of
birth. (It doesn't have an index, another major flaw.) I can't in any
conscience copy whole sections for everyone, and I type with two fingers,
so my responses would be brief. The book sells for $45, which is steep. If
you are a direct ancestor of Loammi and Jane, and interested in finding
cousins, it's probably worth it. If you are interested, write to:
