Subject: PROBLEM with Nancy Blankenship who married Francis Farley JR
Date: Wed, 13 Jan 1999 19:53:04 EST
This I received tonight from a Blankenship researcher who has written a book
on the Blankenship family:
<begin mssg>There is no list or proof of any children of Richard, s/o Ralph
the
immigrant, of Henrico. We can only guess. I do not have a Nancy who
married Francis Farley (b. 1726) as a dau. of Richard. I have never
heard of a Nancy Blankenship who married Francis Farley. We think
Peter Blankenship Sr. was a son of Richard, but there is no proof.
The Blankenships moved around a lot and left very few records.
How do you know Francis Farley's wife was a Blankenship? If there
is a primary record that indicates this marriage, I surely would
love to know about it. So, please keep me posted....and thanks for
writing. <end mssg>
Well gang. What's the story here? Did Nancy Blankenship go by another name;
maybe Ann Nancy, any ideas? I originally thought she was one of the children
of John Blankenship (son of Ralph) who married Mary Elizabeth / Elizabeth
Hudson but they did not have a daughter named Nancy. They did have several
daughters but none married Farleys. I have more information on the direct
line from Ralph Blankenship on down but there are no Nancys.
Where do we go from here?
