Page 19: Tazewell County Order Book 1; May 14, 1802 -- Laurence Murry
versus Joseph and John Pack, injunction; answer filed and notice to
dissolve. {My note: I do not know who this Joseph or John Pack are but
they would have had to have at least reached the age of majority to be
involved in a lawsuit.}

Page 49: Tazewell County Order Book 1; November 15, 1804 -- Phillip Pack
versus Robert Evans, attachment; executed on a stud horse, five years
old and a mare three years old. Plaintiff didn’t show up so case was
dismissed. {My note: I do not know who Phillip Pack is.}

Rachel Lockhart was born on May 27, 1804 and died June 11, 1879. She
married James Brewster on January 7, 1819, they had the following
children: Nancy; Sallie who married John Claypool and moved to
Kentucky; Betsy who married Floyd Whitt; Polly who married Thomas Whitt;
Axley Lockhart; Margaret who married Harvey Barrett; Milton who died
during the Civil War; Ebenezer who married Bettie Hankins; Isabelle who
married Richard Steele; Hannah who married Crockett Pack; Andy who
married Sallie Myers; Morgan who married Mary Hankins; and Rachel. {My
note: I do not know who Crockett Pack is but Hannah had to have been
born after 1819 and so must Crockett.}

Page 275: Notes section -- Johnston’s “History of the Middle New River
Settlements,” page 436-439 -- Edward McDonald had several children.
Sons were Joseph, William and Stephen who were given land by their
father. One daughter married Captain James Shannon; one married Captain
Thomas Peery; one married Augustus Pack; one married William Chapman.
William McDonald only had one son named Edward who married Miss Black of
Montgomery County; daughters married Harmon Newberry; William G Mustard;
Zachary T Weaver and Captain Robert H Bane. {My note: Augustus Pack
was born in 1806 and married Mary McDonald about 1835. He was the son
of Samuel Augustus Pack and Sarah “Sally” Wyatt; grandson of Samuel Pack
JR and Mary Farley.}

There were no Packs listed in the 1800, 1815, 1820 or 1840 personal
property tax lists or Federal census lists for Tazewell Co.
