No, most were just poor farmers.

How wonderful for you and family to have such good luck with your research.
I've always appreciated anything anyone was willing to share with me. I hope
you have visited my PACK surname page. You can print out the page if you
want the information.

The book I think you would be very interested in is the one those pages came
from. The Fannin CO Georgia web site could provide the answer to what book
those pages came from. After all I only had 2 and there must be at least 2
more.

Also trying to contact Grayson Newman, genealogist who is researching this
line. Oh yes, I found another reference to PACK in these "packageing
papers." It is on page 459 and was probably not part of the original PACK
bio but who knows without having the entire book. I will post the rest to
the list.
