Dear fellow Piatt Genealogists,

Here is my direct connections to the Piatt family:
(I NEED THE ANCESTRY OF JOHN PIATT.......)

John PIATT was born about 1782 and lived in the Rockingham Co., Virginia area.
John married Rebecca ?. John died in 1830 in Montgomery Co., Ohio. John & Rebecca
were the parents of Solomon PIATT.

(NOTE: John, in family stories etc... is known as a French Huguenot.....?????)


Solomon PIATT was born in 1823 in Montgomery Co., Ohio and married Nancy BOZE
(d/o Henry & Mary (JOHN(S)) BOZE) on 24 Jul 1843. Solomon died on 7 Jun 1864,
which he died in the Civil War in TN. Solomon & Nancy were the parents of Samuel
PIATT.

(NOTE: SOLOMON has a nephew who was a biographical sketch that states that he
has the same ancestry as Donn Piatt, the poet!)

Samuel "Sam" PIATT was born 3 Jun 1865 in Darke Co., Ohio and married Susannah
"Susan" DUGAN (d/o Ross & Sarah (CUNNINGHAM) DUGAN) on 17 Apr 1876 in Darke
Co., Ohio. Sam died on 27 Apr 1945 in Redkey, Jay Co., Indiana. Sam and Susan
were the parents of Jacob "Jake" Solomon PIATT.

Jacob "Jake" Solomon PIATT was born 30 Jan 1877 in Darke Co., Ohio and married
Josephine "Jose" Francis ANDERSON (d/o Isaac "Mac" & Catharine (SMITH/SCHMITT)
ANDERSON) in Darke Co., Ohio.
Jacob and Josephine had a daughter named Elva Josephine PIATT.
