Subject: [PIATT] What I am learning from lookups

Please indulge me a minute--I need the break...

This has been my first attempt at offering lookups to others. I can tell
you that the handful of connections I have made so far for folks has filled
me with almost as much satisfaction as when I find my own ancestors. And
that when I cant find something helpful Im just as frustrated.

Yes I am COMPLETELY overwhelmed. I cant tell you how many requests I have
received so far--BUT THAT IS OK!! I love doing it and I will get to them
all. Please be patient.

Please also remember to send me your requests personally instead of to the
list. If you should recieve something useful in reply and wish to share it
thats fine, but for everyones sanity, please lets do this off-list.

The last thing I have learned (so far) is that everyone who ever lived in
Virginia has a relative on these lists! (grin) What fun this is!!

Please, If you own source materials or you have the priviledge of checking
them out at the library like I do, PLEASE VOLUNTEER!

It is the most rewarding thing I have done genealogically since I tripped
over my great great grandmas grave and 'discovered' her!

Hugs all around--what a great thing these lists are!

Robin
