Thanks for posting the information about the Carters and Leonards. Nathan
Carter must have been an energetic individual!

I'm intrigued by the suit that took 80 years to settle and warranted
intervention by the governor of NY. Were the main heirs Carters with the
Piatts connecting through the relationship to the Carters?

Would I have the Packer genealogy? I have Lynn White's materials.

Do you have a more specific citation for the WV Heritage Encyclopedia. I
might have those volumes, too!
