I was WRONG. I just looked at records for Mason. He was all over WV in
Berkely and other counties but a 1784 entry shows him in PA for birth of his
first son. The entries do not tell where the lawsuits are filed but since
the year of suits is the same as birth of Mason's son, I would assume that
both McWms and Pyatt were in PA when they filed suit.

Funny how I can look at something when I'm tired and see something entirely
different than what my eyes are staring at. The John McWms whose dau,
Rachael, m. Ben Piatt, gave info on his pension that he was born in NJ. I
had felt he came from NJ to VA but it appears now he was in PA. Thank you
so much for asking the question.
