Jacob Piatt b 22 May 1802, Belmont Co OH; d 8 Feb 1857 Perry Co IL; m 3 Jun
1823, Richland Co OH, to Elizabeth STEWART. Jacob was buried in the McElvain
Cem, DuQuoin, Perry Co IL.

Elizabeth STEWART b 12 Jul 1805 VT, d 3 Mar 1875, Perry Co IL; bur McElvain
Cem, Perry Co IL.

Jacob and Elizabeth Stewart Pyatt had 10 children: Stewart, William, Corydon,
Alfred, George Yearian, Philo, Mercy, Thomas, Caroline, Jacob.

It has been speculated that Elizabeth Stewart was the daughter of Philo
Stewart but this has not been proved.

Jacob Pyatt's mother Catherine Bell was the daughter of Robert Bell, founder
of Bellville OH. Robert Bell and his wife (Mary?) are buried in the cemetery
on Rt 97 at the west end of town.

As to the Yearian connection, Jacob and Elizabeth named a son George Yearian,
but his biographical data in THE HISTORY OF HENRY AND ST CLAIR COUNTIES
MISSOURI, give his mother's maiden name as Stewart. The name is Stewart also
in the Richland Co marriage records which I have seen as I live in that county.

The 1880 census for Idaho Territory, Lehmi Valley, Lehmi Co lists Thomas
Pyeatte 37 (Jr, son of Thomas and Elizabeth above) as family 33/33. Family
34/34 was Zelph B Yearian, 40, IL OH Ire, with family. Family 35/35 was
George Yearian 55, OH PA NJ, and family which included Wm A Pyeatte 21, IL OH
IL, and Walter Pyeatte 22, IL OH IL.
