For Violet,

A first and quick check of information on Adams County Piatts did not turn up
a Piatt/Brooks marriage. But that doesn't mean it doesn't exist, just that I
don't have it. There are Adams Co Piatt descendants on the list and maybe
they have something.

In the meantime I have two questions:

Do you know what the name Mattie was short for? Martha? Matilda?

Do you know the names of the children of Mattie Piatt and John Brooks?
Sometimes children were named for grandparents and, although it isn't proof,
it could be a clue.
