I put in a search for

piatt pyatt

and got 4 hits which named:

Capt William Piatt
Major Piatt
Lieutenant Jacob Piatt of the Jersey brigade
Lieutanant Piatt's Company of the 1st Maryland Regiment

At least that is how I read the references in these scanned images of the
original documents. This fourth reference is especially interesting as I
don't know who this Piatt would have been. If someone else would like to take
a look at the images for clarity of interpretation, I'd be appreciative. A
couple of the documents are more than one page and the Piatt is on the second
page--"next image."
