Forgot to say: I have had this history of Wm and Hannah for quite some time
from Ken Lemmon. I did receive a larger file from Ron and Jeannie Lemmon
just the other day which sites sources for all of the information. The
reference for Benjamin on their history is "Langwell, J -- LDS site". Their
history included over a hundred source references - WAY TO GO, GUYS! - and
so, I'm going to have to figure out a good way to list these references when
I integrate their work with that of Ken's. By the way, Do I need to put a
disclaimer at the bottom of each of the pages that aren't my own work that
says "This isn't my family - I give no assurances, etc."? I thought that
most people would understand when I list a person's name as a source with no
other source - that they are MY ONLY SOURCE. Am I coming across as the
person who researched these families? I assure you, that's not my intent.
However, I don't want people to think that they can't contact me to add
their information if they so choose. I am interested in finding as many
pieces as I can to this Piatt puzzle. My website is a way for me to connect
a lot of loose information to the people that it "belongs to" and to share
it with others. I also know that not everyone who does research wants to
take the time to create a website - but, they usually do want it out there
for others to add to. I also got tired of having a mountain of emails that I
had printed out and that needed to be categorized and filed away (not that I
would have ever been able to find just the right piece when I needed it).
Anyway, I guess I'm a rambler today. Will check further on the reference
site and you guys give me your opinion on what I should say at the bottom of
my "not my family" webpages. Marianne
