Subject: [PIATT] Piatt Descendant

My name is Elise Greenup Jourdan and I am a
descendant of Dr. Lewis Piatt (1853-1885) of
Rabbitt Hash, KY and his wife Josephine Ryle
(1863-1927). He was the s/o Robert Piatt
(1830-1883) and his cousin Catherine Canby
(1826-1888). Robert was the s/o John Piatt
(1803-1863) and Millicent Ridell. I have an oil
portrait of Dr. Piatt and photographs of his wife
and daughter which a neighbor is going to
photograph with his digital camera to get them on
the website [if someone knows how to do it]. I
also have recently been contacted by the lady who
bought and restored the house Dr. Piatt built in
1879 in what is called Bellview in Boone Co.

For many years I have been writing books about the
early settlers of the 5 counties of Southern
Maryland, those and other books I have done are
published now by Willow Bend Books, formerly
Family Line Publications.
I have stopped work on my current book to put the
material I have on the Piatt family into the
format of my Maryland books.

I have correspondence, as well as his major work,
from Joe Kearney whom I once met, from Martha
Eugenia deValcourt Piatt [of the Jacob Wycoff
Piatt line], and several letters from Marian
Rogers of Boone Co. which add some color to the
documented information about Dr. Lewis Piatt. I
am seeking the descendants of Catherine Piatt,
sister of Dr. Lewis Piatt, who married a druggist
named Bottorf of Hanover, IN.

I will be happy to share anything I have.

Elise Greenup Jourdan
