A quick check of the Piatt Family Newsletter did not turn up any further
information on Peter, Rachel, Thomas, Mary, William or Samuel, the other
children of Jacob Piatt and Mary Hull. So certainly there is room for further
research here.

As to the reference for "moved to Elizabethtown," Marianne is correct in
saying that there is no "Elizabethtown" in New Jersey. However, there is an
Elizabeth in Union County, a county which borders Middlesex Co where Thomas is
said to have been born. And in some states in the east "Town" is a political
juristiction separate from a county. So we can speculate that "Elizabethtown"
refers to "Elizabeth Town" in the same political sense as "Union County."
