My leaning would be toward William Piatt
(http://www.angelfire.com/ar/pyeatt/WmVA.html). If you'll note, three of his
known children born 1813-1824 in Ohio ended up Missouri with stop-overs in
Illinois or Indiana. I would start looking for records on William,
especially a will or probate. Marianne
