For Elise,

Current thought is that JOHN of Somerset Co NJ was a _grandson_ of RENE
(REUNE) PIATT through Rene's so JACOB PIATT and wife MARY HULL.

This JOHN is the one who married FRANCES VAN VLIET WYCKOFF and who was also
known erroneously as JOHN OF FRANCE. (Maybe he would not have been called
that if he hadn't married FRANCES--John of France--John and Frances, sound a
LOT alike to me.)

Corrections and debate on this statement are welcome.
