Has anyone heard the story of Burnt Cabins, PA? Supposedly, a group of
settlers settled this area of PA illegally because it was Indian land. In
1750, the government came in and forced them out. Before leaving, they burnt
their Cabins to the ground so the Indians could not use them and thus the
town received its name, Burnt Cabins, PA. There was a Piatt family involved
in this and I am trying to find out which one. Do you perhaps know or know of
anyone that would?
