The marriage record of John and Mary in Mason Co, West Virginia reads as
follows:
"John S Peyatt, aged 24 years 3 months, born Nicholas Co VA, farmer, son of
William & Mary, to Mary C Snider, age 18, born Jackson Co WV, daughter of
Thomas & Elizabeth, at the home of Thomas Snyder, by Isaac E Smith, 18 Sep
1864 on license dated 16 Sep 1864. (Book 3:19, p 196)

Can you tell me the source for your information that his mother was Sarah?
