WILLIAM HENRY PIATT, b 8 Aug 1878, Darke Co OH; d 14 May 1956, Xenia, Greene Co OH, buried Wares Chapel; m 7 Mar 1905 Batesville, Ripley Co IN to LAURA MADELLA LIVINGSTON.

William was the seventh of nine children born to JOHN PIATT and MARY ELIZABETH PUTERBAUGH. This line can be traced back only to JOHN and REBECCA PIATT of Montgomery Co OH at this point. The lineage would be:

JOHN and REBECCA PIATT, Montgomery Co OH by 1820
JACOB PIATT and ELIZABETH WOLIVER to Darke Co OH
JOHN PIATT and MARY ELIZABETH PUTERBAUGH, to Darke Co OH
WILLIAM HENRY PIATT and LAURA MADELLA LIVINGSTON, Darke Co OH

A biographical sketch of JACOB PIATT who married ELIZABETH WOLIVER states that he was born 25 Jan 1809 in Rockingham Co VA. However, research in Rockingham, Augusta and Rockbridge Counties in VA has yet to turn up proof of JOHN and REBECCA in the area.
