Information I have on BELLE is sketchy. She is listed as the 7th child of her parents and with the question "did she m ____ Flannigan and have dau ELIZABETH BUDD FLANNIGAN?"

If this is your BELLE her lineage would be:

Rene Piatt and Elizabeth Sheffield (NJ)
Jacob Piatt and Mary Hull (NJ, he to PA)
John Piatt and Frances Van Vliet Wyckoff (NJ)
Jacob Piatt and Hannah Cook McCullough (Boone Co KY)
Benjamin Piatt and Elizabeth Barnett (Logan Co OH)
Abram Saunders Piatt and Hannah Ann Piatt (Logan Co OH)
William McCoy Piatt and Julia C Keagan (Logan Co OH)
Belle Piatt (Logan Co OH)

If this is the right BELLE PIATT, she does have a connection to the Piatt Castles. It would be her grandfather, ABRAM SAUNDERS PIATT, who built Castle Mac-A-Cheek. The third generation in the lineage, JOHN PIATT is the one erroneously referred to as JOHN of France.
