for Suzie,
All I have for the death of THOMAS PIATT is 1850, Grant
Co IN. I'm wondering if this came from the Mortality
list for 1850. Sons JOHN and THOMAS also died in Grant
Co. Grandson JACOB BRENTON PIATT (s/o JOHN and
CATHERINE BREAN) died in Marion, Grant Co IN, and is
buried in the IOOF cemetery there. THOMAS might be
close?
I see that MARY PIATT HILDRETH was brought back from
Toledo to be buried in the Mansfield Cemetery. I'll
look for her grave my next visit.
THOMAS PIATT and one of his sons freqented the same
store in Mansfield as Johnny Appleseed as shown by the
day book of the store. I posted that to the list a few
weeks ago. If you didn't see it you can probably find
it by doing a search for appleseed in the PIATT-L
archives.
And if we both get to research the Donegal Presbytery
records, let's compare what we find here on the list.
Good hunting!
