Thanks for the information. This may lead me backward...hope so!!!

My Mary Robinson (Riffle?) - Snyder - Pyatt would have been younger
than this.

According to a Marriage record in Mason County WV, my ggfather, George
Washington Riffle married a Willie Alice Sayre in 1897, and the record
stated he was 25 yrs old. (Don't know that I can depend on that age,
being correct, because Alice's father gave the information.) This would
have made George born around 1872 0r 1873?? Alice's age was given as 19.

My grandfather was born John Franklin Riffle in May 1889. He stated on
his SS app. that he was born in Mason County, Letart, WV.

I am looking for my great grandmother of whom I do not have much
information. On my gfather's SS app. he had his mother listed as Mary
Robinson,as her maiden name. My Uncle had told us his gmother was a
Snyder. My grandfather was a Riffle - John Franklin Riffle who said he
was born in Letart, Mason County, WV. His father was George Washington
Riffle. On George's death record, his wife (Not Mary Robinson) stated he
was from Wellsville, Ohio, (spelled Willsville). I presume it was
Wellsville. I do not know if George and my gfather's mother were married
or not. After my Grandfather she had two daughters. We always thought
they were Snyders, but I found a cousin, her ggdaughter, that said she
knew one of them was a Pyatt. I knew my ggmother as Grandma Pyatt. I
don't know if she married a Snyder and had one daughter and then
married a Pyatt and then had another daughter, or if my cousin just
thought her mother was a Pyatt, because that was the name the
ggrandchildren grew up with. Some mess, huh??? Sure would like to get it
straightened out!!
I guess it would go like this:

George Washington Riffle (Wellsville, Ohio) + Mary Robinson (from ???)
= John Franklin Riffle born 1889 in Letart, Mason County WV (supposedly)

Mary Robinson (Riffle???) + ?? Snyder = Maybelle and /or Evelyn, or
Mary Robinson + ?? Snyder = Maybelle or Evelyn
Mary Robinson + Snyder + Pyatt = 1 daughter or 2 daughters ??

If you should find a Mary Robinson married to a Snyder, that would
probably be my Mary. I do not have a middle name for her.
