Update--

I just spoke with the housing director at VCU (finally--we've been
playing phone tag for weeks!) and have good news about our housing for
the conference June 22-28, 2003

The rooms are available (based on an estimate of 20 people). They do
have one possible glich though, that being that they are opening up a
new residence area that is a former hospital and all rooms would be
single rooms. Does this change anyones mind? Each room has it's own
bathroom.

Cost is $100-$110 per room (depending on which facility we end up in)
for the week (roughly $17 per day) and must be paid the day of arrival
by 'the group coordinator' which I assume is me *grin* so I would be
asking for prepayment of rooms with the reservation (the good news is I
can take credit cards) but we will have more on that later.

Some 'big name' Piatt researchers are planning to attend, so everyone be
thinking about signing up. I will need a commitment probably in April
or May for a final head count.
