Suicide: We learn that a young man named Arad Piatt, residing near Chadwick's
stream saw mill, in Brown Twp, Lyc. Co, committed suicide on the 13th inst. He
was formerly from South Danby, Tompkins Co. NY.

I don't know what the D means after the date. It was in an untitled column
filled with D's and M's. This site has links to many newspaper abstract files
for the area and would be a good research site for anyone interested in this
area. The abstracts date from the early 1800s.
