Because the Piatt Surname DNA study is underway I think it's appropriate to
mention that the current issue of Time Magazine (dated 17 February 2003) contains
a special section of almost 20 pages devoted to DNA. The special report is in
honor of the 50th Anniversary of the discovery of the structure of DNA (not of
DNA itself). It's such a great report I will forgive them for telling me I'm
only 6 degrees away from bakers' yeast.

What a great last minute Valentine's Day gift for your favorite genealogist. My
issue will be kept on the shelf with the genealogy.

The Piatt Surname DNA Study is coming along with 12 participants now enrolled.
It would be great to have TWO dozen participants. Remember it is only for men
who are named Piatt or any of the spelling variations. For more information
