For Yvonne and Ralph:

I believe that it was at the conference in Fort Wayne that the two of you
mentioned finding Rebecca's grave in a county bordering Richland Co. I was
surprised because I knew of no Piatts ever in that county. In my post I said
Knox County which I believe was a mistake, a result of posting "from memory." I
think you said that a Rebecca Piatt was buried in Morrow County but I can't
remember the cemetery off hand.

At first I thought that this Rebecca might have been the Rebecca who was the
widow of John Piatt of Montgomery Co OH who appeared in the 1820 census there.
But it is now obvious that the Montgomery Co OH Rebecca is not the one buried in
Morrow Co OH. The Rebecca who is buried in Morrow Co OH was associated with
David Reed's family in the 1850 census in (W)VA and was still associated with
them in Morrow Co OH, I believe. Rebecca's location in 1850 might make her more
likely to be a part of the family of Rev War Robert Piatt of Ohio Co (W)VA.

So while we may have accounted for the Ohio Co (W)VA Rebecca Piatt the origins of
the Montgomery Co OH Rebecca _____ Piatt, widow of John Piatt, are still unknown.
