Dear Irene, Perhaps this is a bit premature to write to you at this point,
but I recently obtained a deed from a person who obtained it on ebay. This
deed contains the names of William Piatt Jr. and Sr. (Wm. Piatt Sr. is my
ancestor ) It also contains the names of Howard and Margaret Piatt and they
apparently moved to Cedar Co. Iowa. The writing on the deed is good, but I
have not taken the 2 or 3 hours it will take to decipher it. I also have an
Isaiah who is the Uncle of my great-grandfather James Tindall
Piatt....brother of William Piatt Jr. These people were all from Columbia
County Pa. Prior to that they were in New Jersey....near Hackettstown. The
deed appears to be for property in Lycoming Co. I was so excited to think
the above mentioned Williams were mine, however the deed is signed in 1854
andmy folks were in Northern Indiana by then???? Why is it never simple?
