Mary--have you posted your query on any specific mailing list? I would consider the Saskatchewan list for two reasons--first that so many folks passed through saskatchewan who were russian/german/ukrainian and second because there are some real experts at immigration to North Dakota who are on that list.
Just a suggestion. I had never seen that name before! Im just starting to research Piatts/Pyatts in England so I guess I will have to branch even further soon!
