TOMBSTONE INSCRIPTIONS IN THE PYOTT FAMILY CEMETERY

On the land of old John Pyott farm, now opened by Roane Electric
Furnace, whose plant is not in operation. It is about one mile northeast
of Rockwood, Roane County, Tennessee, off Highway 61 about 1/2 mile from
the entrance gate to the plant property.

Born in Loudon Co., Va.., May 17, 1827
Died in Roane Co., Tenn., Oct. 7, 1901
An honest man.

In memory of Israel E.,
Son of John and Sarah E. Pyott
Born March 1819
Died June 1842

In memory of John W.
Son of John and Sarah Pyott
Born Sept. 1815
Died Dec. 1844

In memory of Sarah Ann,
Dau. of Edward and Margaret Pyott
Died in 1844
Aged 4 years.

John Pyott
Born in Louden County, Va.
May 1786
Died in Roane County, Tenn.
Oct. 1863

Eliza McCaleb
Born Feb. 27, 1816
Died Feb. 27, 1901
Jesus loves the pure and holy.
