Following is information on the 2004 Piatt Researchers' Conference. Can
anyone believe it will be out 20th?

2004 Piatt Researchers' Conference
June 20-26, 2004
Delaware Valley College
Doylestown, PA

Rooms: $20.00 per person per night
Meals: $3.40 for breakfast only
Dorm: "near the parking lot" and not air-conditioned

I failed to ask about linens and towels. As I recall, we supplied our own at
the conference at DVC in 2001. Correct me if I'm wrong. I will also inquire
of the college in my future communications with them.

Nearby research facilities include:

Bucks Co PA Historical Society, Doylestown
NJ State Archives, Trenton
Alexander Library, Rutgers University, New Brunswick NJ
Courthouses, records centers, and historical societies for the NJ counties of:
Warren, Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Sussex

Also in Philadelphia:
Historical Society of PA
Genealogical Society of PA
Presbyterian Historical Society

Conveniently, SEPTA (regional transit) runs a train from Doylestown to
Philadelphia.

There are also historical sites such as
Washington Crossing State Parks, PA and NJ
Morristown National Historical Park, Morristown NJ (where Maj Daniel Piatt
died)

I'll be starting my list of attendees so you may e-mail me anytime with your
intentions. I prefer my ATT e-mail at

I will give the college final numbers of attendees after the first of the
year and will not be collecting any money for deposit at this time. Should I
need to collect deposits I will notify you later.

If you haven't joined us before please consider doing so in 2004. The area
where we will be researching could hold crucial answers to the branching of
the various Piatt lines just two, three, four generations from Rene. Our DNA
study so far shows that we have been on the right track but we still need to
uncover documents which will prove the links and allow us to fill in the gaps
in these early generations.

If you have questions please e-mail me at the address above. Thanks.
