You may be interested taking a look at the current eBay auction listing for
an album concerning the Piatt family of Logan Co. OH, Dewitt Co. IL, and
Logan Co. IL.

The eBay description page includes an image of the teaching certificate of
Herman Piatt from the University of Illinois, and refers to a Civil War
letter written by Samuel Harrod Piatt of the 107th Illinois Infantry.

Following is a (partial) lineage of the Piatt family in this album. Other
than Samuel Harrod Piatt and Herman S. Piatt, I do not know which Piatts
are included in the album.

he was an 1892 graduate from the U. of Ill., was an author,
Coshocton OH supt. of schools & NYC school principal.
