Apparently, this Williams's middle name was Piatt, but his surname was
Flesher, as described in the following:

"826. William Piatt FLESHER was born in 1850 in Illinois.(1812) (252) He
appeared on the census in 1850. (252) He was born on 14 Mar 1850 in
Illinois. (16) He died on 12 Jun 1924. (16) He died on 29 Nov 1939 in
McLean County, Illinois. (1813) He was buried in Lexington Cemetery,
Lexington, McLean County, Illinois.(16)
"He was married to Clara STRETCH on 13 Mar 1873 in McLean County, Illinois.
(1813) Clara STRETCH was born on 19 Dec 1854 in McLean County,
Illinois.(1813) (16) She died on 24 Jun 1912. (16) She was buried in
Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, McLean County, Illinois.(16) William Piatt
FLESHER and Clara STRETCH had the following children:
"1760 i. Ethel FLESHER was born about 1879.(16) "

William, Clara, and Ethel were recorded in the 1880 census for Money Creek,
Mc Lean County, IL, under W.P. Flesher.

Maybe you should start a list for all the people who had Piatt as a middle
name. I have run across quite a few of them, but I never kept track.
