Ebay tells me today that there is an interesting Piatt item up for bids. It is a 15 piece silver martini set presented to Capt Columbus E Piatt, Chief of Police of Manila, Philippine Islands, in 1936.

Martini's? Police? Oh, well, it was a different time.

Columbus Piatt is not listed in the Piatt Family Newsletter. Does anyone know anything about him?
