Well, it took me awhile, but I finally entered names in the family tree program. The reason I have come to the conclusion that John & Elizabeth had 15 children is mainly from the 1830, 1840, 1850 & 1860 census records.

I think there were 3 unknown females:
In regards to Children #4 #6 #7:
The 1830 census lists the following:
1 female between the ages of 5-10 (would have been born between 1820-1825) This child would surely fit date wise between Thomas & Benjamin.

2 females under 5 years of age ( would have to be born between 1825-1830) These two girls could have been twins. I'm not saying that they were, just thinking that it would be possible. Date wise, they too fit in between Benjamin & John.

Laverne, please note that I have not put birth dates for most of the children since I do not have any sources for that. I know you got your date of births in the previous message from the Piatt Family Newsletter, Vol 9, 1994, but I have never seen that source and I haven't had a chance to see if the FHL has a copy of same. As I mentioned, most of my research here is from the census records.

He married Elizabeth Keesey/Keysey 17 September 1818 in Belmont Co., OH, daughter of Jacob Keesey/Keysey and Nancy ???. She was born Abt. 1803 in VA, and died Aft. 1880 in Watertown Twp., Washington Co., OH.

Children of John Piatt and Elizabeth Keesey/Keysey are:
1 Jacob Piatt, born Abt. 1819 in OH. He married Eleanor; born Abt. 1820 in OH.

2 James Piatt, born Bet. 1815 - 1820 in Monroe Co., OH; died 10 May 1851. He married Sarah; born Abt. 1828 in NY.

3 THOMAS PIATT, born 06 October 1822 in Monroe Co., OH; died 06 June 1882 in Watertown Twp., Washington Co., OH. He married Jane Congleton 14 August 1845 in Washington Co., OH; born 30 August 1828 in OH; died 26 September 1913 in Pike Co., MO.

4 unknown female Piatt, born Bet. 1820 - 1825.

5 Benjamin Piatt, born 21 September 1828 in Monroe Co., OH; died 10 June 1878.

6 unknown female Piatt, born Bet. 1825 - 1830.

7 unknown female Piatt, born Bet. 1825 - 1830.

8 John Piatt, born Bet. 1830 - 1835 in Monroe Co., OH.

9 David Piatt, born Bet. 1830 - 1835; died 12 November
1888. He married Rachel A. Wynn 07 August 1864 in Washington Co, OH; born December 1831 in PA.

10 Elizabeth Piatt, born Abt. 1835.

11 Mary Piatt, born Abt. 1837; died 21 September 1853.

12 Sarah Jane Piatt, born Abt. 1838 in Monroe Co., OH; died 26 December 1849.

13 Robert Piatt, born Abt. 1840 in Monroe Co., OH; died 15 November 1926. He married Nancy J. "Annie" Abt. 1866; born May 1850 in OH.

14 Rebecca Jane Piatt, born Abt. 1843.

15 Amelia "Millie" Piatt, born Abt. 1845.
