I found this entry into the Georgtown, SC 1970 census to be interesting.
Can anyone shed any light on it?

John Pyatt, in a household that contains 3 males 16+, 2 males under 16, and
3 females plus 120 slaves. Listed as Overseer for his daughter (her name
not given) and her 11 slaves as well as overseer for the estate of Thomas
Butler and his 137 slaves.
