Subject: DNA results back on my Uncle Bill

After checking the site several times a day for a month, we finally have my
Uncle Bill's first 12 markers back. As you can imagine, Im delighted to
announce that Dad and Uncle Bill are a perfect match to each other.
Unfortunately that means that neither are a match to the Piatt study.

What this means from a genealogy standpoint is that Ernest and Bill are both
Carl's sons, and that Bob (Dad) is Ernest's son. So we have to prove that
Carl was really the biological son of Edward William and Amy Throckmorton
Pyatt (which we can do if we can convince Terry Manning to be tested. He is
a direct decendent of William Ross, Carl's brother. Or we need to get Uncle
Lawrence tested. That would be wonderful.

If we get Lawrence or Terry's test back and it matches, then we have a
problem. We would need to prove that Edward William was really a biological
son of John S Pyatt. To do that we would have to test decendents of either
Nathan Alexander Pyatt (he married Fannie Morgan and had three boys but I
don't have any information on them--thier names are Chester, Roy, and
Charles and it's not likely they are still living) or a decendent of Grover
(John Francis) Pyatt who married Georgia Parrish. I have a child listed for
them but she is female so if that is thier only child there is no one of
that line to test.

Since Edward William was the fifth child of John and Mary (there were 12
total) it is unlikely that his father is anyone but John. So what it comes
down to is that either John S wasnt fathered by a Pyatt or Grandma Amy was
fooling around (which is very unlikely as all who knew her report she was a
strictly religious and stern woman).

Terry--please contact me as soon as possible. Or if any of you listers are
in contact with him please ask him to email me. I may have to resort to
stalking him and getting his dna the hard way! WE NEED THAT TEST!

Big thanks to everyone who has been tested. This project is an absolute
delight to follow, and my husband's family name is now doing one as well (he
doesn't match them either. Its a curse.)

If you are a male Pyatt/Piatt/Peyatt etc it would be a wonderful thing if
you would participate.

*big sigh* Finally--Im related to somebody! *grin*
