Ok help me straighten out this tangle...here is what I have.
If Walter is a son of Thomas Latham b 1825 m Katherine Snyder, then his dad
would be John Amos b1770? Mom would be Juliann Engle of Maryland. John
Amos was the son of John Piatt and Deborah Brunson. I lose the line there.

Can anyone help clarify this?

I would love to see your correspondence and the Wash Co... Piatts. My maiden
name was Piatt and I grew up in Washington, Pa. I haven't figured out if I
belong to the group that you are talking about. The farthest that I can
trace
back is to Amos Piatt. I think my line goes like this Amos-Thomas
Ingram-Thomas Latham - Walter - John Robert. I might have the Thomas in the
wrong order.
I was doing it from memory, never a good idea.
