This description accompanies a document which will be offered by e-bay in a live auction on September 26. It is estimated to bring between $3000 and $6000. Whoever buys it, would you bring it to the next conference? Images accompany the ebay listing and I'm sure you can find it by searching for a keyword which appears in the description.

WILLIAM H. HARRISON
Ordering payment for printing forms for the Regiment.
Manuscript DS: "Willm Henry Harrison", p, 8x6. Upper Sandusky, 1812 December 24. In full: "Captain William Piatt, Deputy Quarter Master Genl will pay R.D. Richardson the within account." On verso, Manuscript DS: "R.D. Richardson" and bill. U. Sandusky, 1812 December 24. In full: "United States To R.D. Richardson Dr. 1812. Decr. 1. 1812. To. Printing three quires of Genl Monthly Returns (Rich & Figerro work) both Sides. Printed. $25.00. To. Printing thirteen quires of Regimental Monthly Returns (Rich & Figerro & work). $33.00. [total] $58.00. Recd of Captain William Piatt Deputy Quarter master General of the North Western Army fifty Eight Dollars in full of the above account. Duplicate." Brigadier General William Henry Harrison was Governor of Indiana Territory (1800-1813). On February 17, 1809, 1st Lieutenant WILLIAM PIATT, Second Regiment of Infantry, was promoted to the rank of Captain. Captain Piatt arrived at Pittsburgh July 23, 1811 from the War office, with orders to !
proceed with his detachment of the 4th Infantry to the falls of the Ohio, and there to await the orders of Harrison. Captain Piatt was given the duties of Quartermaster and Commissary functions. Documents signed by Harrison with his full middle name "Henry" are especially desirable since he is one of the few U.S. Presidents usually referred to using his middle name. Repaired at left margin which showed nicks at horizontal folds. The repair has stained the margin on front and lightly touches the "n" of Harrison in signature on verso. Repairs also at horizontal folds show light stains touching some text. -inch triangular cut at top edge touches 1 word but paper is still present. -inch tear at top blank edge, all paper intact.
