For Robin,
GNIS (geographical name information service) locates Millfield OH as being in Athens Co on SR 13 about 8 miles north of Athens, the county seat of Athens Co.
A William Peyatt and a Thomas Peyatt show up in the 1920 census as brothers:
1920 Jackson Co OH, Coal Township
PEYATT
Grant, head, 50, VA, VA, VA, coal miner
Maggie, wife, 52, OH, OH, OH
Worth, son, 19, OH, VA, OH, coal miner
Clara, dau, 17, OH, VA, OH, cigar factory
William, son, 13, OH, VA, OH
Thomas, son, 9, OH, VA, OH
Grant Peyatt would have been born in 1870. An 8 year old Grant shows up in the 1880 census, close enough to be considered.
1880 Putnam Co WV, Union Twp, census puts an 8 year old Grant in the household of George Peyatt, 46, and wife Jane, 40, and 10 children. Did we decide that this Jane was one of the three Snyder girls who married Piatts?
