Hello,
I corresponded back in 1970s with several in this family and this is what I
learned.
Jacob PYEATT married Rachel TATUM.
They had son Nathan prob. born Guilford, NC married Martha EWING.
Nathan was born 1786-87, died in ILL. 1812
Martha Ewing 1788-1863 married second Malakiah HUBBARD and had son Jesse
Hubbard.
Nathan and Martha had son Nathan Pyeatt born 1807 in Warren Co., KY, married
Martha BOREN 1812-1886.
Nathan Pyeatt and Martha Boren had son Peter PIATT born 1847.
Peter first married Matilda and had three children, Jacob August, Daniel J.
and Mamie.
Matilda died in 1878 and left her estate to her three minor children above
in Tell City, IN,
Peter then left his family in Tell City and was never heard from again.
Peter married second Martha Huston and they had five children, John
Frederick, Jelson or Jilson, Elva Mae. George and Walter.
Jacob Pyeatt was raised by a doctor's family or a Priest as a strict
Catholic. Not liking this he ran away from home either in Tell City or KY.
Jacob later married Allie Mae Ashcroft and had four children, William Roy,
Lorraine Jessie, Mildred Lucille and Elijah August.
