I just subscribed to the Piatt mailing list after a couple of late nights reading the many previous entries.
I am fortunate that a cousin gave me much of the groundwork that I am now trying to expand upon.

My line goes like this: (realizing that there are the different spellings)

Rene Piatt and Elizabeth Sheffield
Jacob Piatt and Mary Hull
John Piatt and Frances Van Vliet
Abraham Piatt and Annabella Andrew
Jacob Piatt and Esther Livingston
John Livingston Piatt and Hannah Hileman
Their daughter Esther (spelled Ester on marriage license) married
William F. Price (who came from England) in 1856. We thus lost the Piatt
name and we began tracing the Price line.
William F. Price and Esther Piatt
Walter John Price and Elizabeth Robertson
Walter Reed Price and Clella Slocum (my parents)

I have the usual one or two year differences in some dates and questions about birth places. However, I have gained a lot of in-between information from the members of this list.

Id like to hear from anyone in this particular line especially from John Livingston Piatt and Hannah Hileman on.(If it included the Price name it would be an added bonus!)
