Greetings from the black sheep side of the Pyatt family *grin*

I recieved word today that yet another 25 marker match to my dad has been
found. This one from a man born in the 1930's who was adopted into the
Williams family. For those new to the list, that makes three that have
turned up who are likely "family" that we didn't know about. More
information as we get it.

The last one we are still working on. He has good records documenting the
surname Brown in his lineage back to 1870 at least, so we are looking at
Nicholas County (WV) Browns to see if there is any connection to my known
Nicholas County Pyatts. William Pyot's next door neighbor at the time of
John S Pyatt's birth was Alexander Brown. Thats too much to ignore.

The first one we found was an unknown child of my great grandfather. Gerald
(Bill) Evans was a wonderful fellow who Im sorry to say has passed on.
Fortunately we were able to help him connect to his father's family through
this list and the YDna project. His daughter tells me he was greatful for
that and thrilled to be part of the study on the family. I didnt know him
long (just a couple of years) but it was my absolute delight to have found
him.

I strongly encourage every male to do the Ydna test. Obviously it would
help the Piatt research, but even if you arent a male Piatt, anything to add
to the database may help someone who is searching.

Many thanks to Laverne for heading this project. For me, it's a gift that
keeps on giving!

More info as I get some, and here's to a productive new year!
