It's wonderful to see Eddie Piatt closing in on his not to distant, but "lost" cousins and to see all the help given by the Piatt listers.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could use our keen skills just one more time this summer to discover the missing documents that would tie Rene and the next couple of his generations to our earliest known ancestors in the several lines? The 2006 Piatt Researchers' Conference will be held at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown PA on June 18-24. Be sure to mark your calendars. I'll be posting further details in a few days.
Note to AOL users: As list administrator I received a message on Jan 29 that several of your accounts were not serviceable. So you may have missed a Jan 28 or Jan 29 Piatt posting. Also, there were several postings on Jan 30. I have not yet received a bounced message for the Jan 30 postings but if you did not get these you might look for them in the archives. Go to:

In the button bar at the top, click on Mailing Lists. The click on Surnames, then P, then Piatt. Then you will have a choice of searching or browsing the archives. Choose search for January 2006. Sometimes, the link to the archives appears in the random messages in the footer of PIATT list postings.
