Thank you for the information about the library. I will look into it next. I do have some information on Wm. & Eliza Piatt Pain. I believe they died sometime in 1857. Here is a listing that was found at the Marion Library.

December 30, 1857-
Wm. E. (Erwin) Kinnear guardians of Wm. C. Pain, Mattina J. Pain, Tobitha Ann Pain, Eliza Ann Pain, and Angaline Pain.
A.D.Mathews + William E. Clerk Sureties bond each.


Wm & Eliza Paine were found in the 1850 Census for Prospect twp, Marion Co., Ohio living with their children. 1860 Census has the children living as follows:
Angeline, Wm. and Martina living with Wm. Kinnear and family Pleasant Twp., Marion co., Ohio.
Tobitha is living with Wm. Koons and family Marion Co., Ohio.
Eliza is Living with George & Nancy (Paine) Moyer , Deby (Deborah) Paine which appears to be Wm & Nancy Paine's mother.

I haven't figured out how the people that got the children are contected to this family yet. Are these names familar to you?
