Since your father Benjamin Piatt was born in 1935 he would not be in the census records available to the public as yet. I have found this family in the 1930 census which I believe is his, though:

1930, PA, Luzerne Co, Forty Fort Borough, 1st Ward
95 Butler St

PIATT
James, 23, aged 20 at marriage, born PA, electrician
Marie, 25, aged 21 at marriage, born PA
Joyce, 1 1/12, daughter, born PA
Jimmie, 1/12, son, born PA

I have traced this family back through several more census records and will post them if this is your family.
