Hello Brian,
Thanks for answering my post. Yes, it appears that we are from the same lineage. My gr grandfather was Jacob Piatz married to Barbara Braunagle. My grandmother was Anastasia Piatz married to Ludwig Schwab. They were married in Rugby in 1910 and then went to the Estevan, Saskatchewan area. I have been researching the family for about 5 years and have a lot of information but still wish to find out more. Which line are you from? My gr grandfather had the following siblings" Christian Piatz, Marianna Piatz, himself Jacob and his supposed twin brother Wendelin Piatz (these two boys were apparently born Schmidtheislers and were adopted by my gr grandfather Jacob's father 'Old Jake' as they called him. I have not been able to make the adoption connection as of yet. Then there was Anton Piatz and Helena Piatz the last of the siblings. Which one do you come from?
